DAO Overview · Draft
Governance
FoodFi DAO is a draft framework for protocol parameter control. The WeAD Foundation holds bootstrap multi-sig authority until maturity criteria are met — we do not claim a live decentralized DAO in Phase 1. No live minting on mainnet.
Bootstrap
Foundation bootstrap
During Public Draft and pre-pilot phases, the Foundation publishes proposals, collects community feedback, and executes technical deployments via multi-sig. On-chain voting activates on testnet first; mainnet governance follows audit and pilot review.
- Transparent proposal archive (forthcoming)
- No token sale in Phase 1
- Forever-Seal honesty policy enforced by charter
- Production-cost peg in USDT/USDC — not gold
Target state
FoodFi DAO (target)
Token-weighted votes on parameters below. Quorum and timelock values TBD at testnet launch — published before any claim of live DAO operation.

Parameters
Governable parameters
Reserve ratio floor
Minimum Forever-Seal physical kg backing per token unit before mint approval.
Forever-Seal audit cadence
Quarterly default; monthly for humid-climate pilot sites.
Oracle source approval
USDT/USDC production-cost sources + attestation; mock oracle disabled at Phase 3.
Emergency pause
Multi-sig + DAO timelock for spoilage events or seal/audit failure.
R&D fund band
2–5% of treasury for Forever-Seal research; DAO-adjustable within band.
Pilot geography caps
Limited regions until redemption legal review complete.
Maturity
DAO maturity criteria
Foundation relinquishes sole control only when all criteria below are documented and published:
- Two completed external audits of testnet contracts
- At least three Forever-Seal warehouse partners with signed audit reports
- Published spoilage incident response playbook
- DAO constitution ratified by token-weight vote (testnet scope)
- Foundation multi-sig reduced to minority veto — not before pilot review
